The Olympic Games are considered the world’s foremost sports competition with more than 200 nations participating. Our Street Olympics encourages teams to come together and to channel their inner athlete as they work together to complete a series of fun events and challenges with an Olympic or sporting twist. It’s our version of a heptathlon but with a difference.
You don’t need to worry about the lycra or swimming gear, all you need to participate in the Street Olympics is a smartphone and a will to win! Combining sports trivia and creative challenges, teams are required to engage both their minds and athletic ability in order to succeed.
Guided by our referee & our interactive smartphone app the city streets will be your playground as you visit event hotspot locations that will see you and your team re-enacting great sporting moments, answering sporting questions, racing against the clock and participating in photo and video challenges.
Just like a heptathlon, teams will score points for every task and challenge they complete. Win or lose, it will be the most sporting fun you can have. The only question that remains is who’s going to take gold, silver and bronze.

I’d like to share my experience working with Katie and Darren from Total Team Building. Together, we’ve run three programes for three very different teams. One of these days comprised a full day event beginning with a bridge building exercise and finishing off with the Adventure Quest. The Adventure Quest, a modern 21st century take on a treasure hunt. Each team followed a route around Kings Park. During the event, the facilitator inserted random clues that were specific to individuals or teams such as cryptic clues, finding nicknames, random SCADA facts and so on – it was very interactive and as communication engineers, they loved it. A huge advantage was that the teams were in constant communication with us and the other teams which generated friendly competition and a sense of ‘One team”
For me as the organiser, having a digital event with instant messaging meant that I was able to better understand the personalities within the teams and come up with ongoing strategies to support them to achieve their business deliverables. For the teams, it was a fun walk in the park where groups worked together solving clues whilst getting to know each other.
